Privacy Policy

Groute is operated by Reitek LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Groute mobile application ("the App").

By using Groute, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information — name, email address, and phone number
• Profile information — profile photo, bio, service offerings, and pricing
• Client and job details — names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers of your clients that you enter to manage your client book, schedule work, and send invoices
• Invoice records — the services, prices, dates, and payment status of invoices you create in the App
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers or bank account details

Client details you enter may describe people who do not use the App themselves. You are responsible for having the right to provide that information to us, and we use it only to provide the service to you — never to contact or market to your clients.

Information collected automatically

• Device information — device type, operating system, and push notification token
• Location data — geocoded coordinates from addresses you enter; we do not continuously track your location in the background
• Usage data — interactions with the App for improving our service

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To let you manage your client book, schedule jobs, and create and send invoices
• To process invoice payments via Stripe Connect
• To send push notifications about job and invoice updates and reminders
• To monitor weather conditions for scheduled jobs and notify you of potential rescheduling
• To calculate your earnings from paid invoices
• To communicate with you about your account or the service
• To improve and maintain the App

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Groute. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data:

• Supabase — database hosting, user authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing and provider payouts via Stripe Connect
• Google Maps Platform — address geocoding and map display
• Expo / EAS — push notification delivery
• OpenWeatherMap — weather forecast data for job scheduling
• Apple / Google — OAuth authentication (Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google)
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics (see below)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3.1 Crash & Error Diagnostics

When the Groute app crashes or hits an unexpected error, it sends a diagnostic report to Sentry so we can find and fix the problem. These reports are deliberately limited.

What a report contains:

• The error message and the technical stack trace showing where it occurred
• Your app version, platform (iOS or Android), operating system version, and device model
• Your Groute account identifier — a random ID, which we use to tell how many people a problem affects

What a report never contains. Before any report leaves your device it is filtered to remove personal and sensitive data. We strip out names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, location coordinates, payment card and bank numbers, Social Security numbers, Stripe identifiers, authentication tokens, and push notification tokens. Your clients' details are removed by the same filter. We do not capture screenshots, we do not record your screen, and we do not log the contents of your network requests.

Diagnostic reports are used only to diagnose and fix faults in the app. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or analytics about you.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase in the us-east-1 region. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Encrypted connections (TLS/SSL) for all data in transit
• Private storage buckets with time-limited signed URLs for photos
• Stripe webhook signature verification for payment events
• API keys stored as environment variables, never in client-side code

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account:

• Your profile and the client and invoice records you created are permanently deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized transaction records may be retained for legal and financial compliance
• Stripe retains payment data according to its own retention policies

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data by viewing your profile in the App
• Correct your data by editing your profile at any time
• Delete your account and associated data (see our Data Deletion page)
• Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

Groute is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the effective date above. Continued use of Groute after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
